I've been busy lately, kind of.
I slowed WAY down on art, like, to a stand still.
Why? Because I've been trying to get my shit together. I've spent the first two months of the year in the a drunken and unhappy haze, and I spent the time since (since mid Feb) trying to get back to my old levels. Everything is peachy keen, now, so no worries.
That being said, my internship is now over, it was equal parts awesome, informative and disappointing, but we won't go into that, and it goes straight to the resumé. I started pinching together cash for some props and equipment, which will start to show up in my images pretty soon. Until then, its all Goodwill.
Anyway, onto the latest of my nine million self portraits. I've been trying to let my imagination go and have fun with shots (just wait for the robot images!), so here comes Mr. No Face Guy! It's really more of a test shot, than anything, I just wanted to see how it would work, its missing a few small details, I think I'll pop the color the real one, and it definitely would look cooler with a cigarette in his mouth (I'm thinking either a cigarello or a black and mild, regular cigs look plain).

On a side note: I've been watching the show V, and I gotta say, it's pretty cool. Can I get some Lizard People Conspiracy theories now?

Not a lot to update; I've been running around trying to find some material to shoot (I've really been fond of doing some still life stuff recently), I found this really cool looking jar of honey, and I think I'm going to do some things with that. I've been trying to bring extra things in, such as various gels, back drops, etc, to really take my photos to the next level.
I'm really tired of being at student/amateur level, ya know?

Hey! I've been a busy little beaver
I've had a busy couple of months hit me lately (I know, nothing new, right?) I've recently been brought on as an Intern for Roharik Studio Productions (Blog, which, apparently, I may be contributing to in the near future, so keep a look out!), and am really excited about the opportunity to learn from a professional (instead of making things up as I went along, like I have been doing).
As far as anything else, everything has been peachy keen in life, I now have constant work, and with that I've been gearing up (and stocking up) for some shoots in the near future (I have this self portrait series lined up). I have started drawing all over again, and man, taking 6 months off from (serious) art was a mistake, I am rustier than I could ever imagine.
Since I don't have anything of mine to upload, let's check out a link from a recent artist I came across while on Abduzeedo, Rafael Albuquerque
This one happens to be my fave:

I'm bad at updating
Some new shots are coming; Lately I've been pretty bad at the keep producing (life is dragging me down). I've been applying around town for internship/apprentice positions, and hopefully something comes up from that. I did a couple weddings recently, and I have got to say, that I won't do a single one more. Like trying to corral a tornado. Other than that, nothing really new to report.

Is alive?
I'm still hear, I've been "working" on some projects lately, and by working, I mean sleeping all day, and sleeping all night. Or at least, I would be sleeping if it wasn't for this crazy patch of insomnia I've had for the past month. Sleep, I miss you.
My schedule is looking like it will lighten up, which will give me more time for art, and more time for job hunting.
Now for art:

I consider this my first "professional" shot. The first image I've taken (for profit) since g-day, and probably one of the better images I've ever taken. (Pretty sad, huh?)

Post Post
Not a lot of news coming in this week, getting ready for one of my first paid gigs. Wondering how it's going to work out without flash. Oh well, when all else fails, kick ass.
On to the new image of the week:

Michael Jackson. Obvious, huh? The complete media saturation kinda reminded me that MJ kicked ass. Musically kicked ass. I didn't really care too much for his extra-curricular activities, but Smooth Criminal kicked ass.

Post CCAD
Now that I have graduated, I've been looking for both work and to stay busy. So far, things have been going pretty well. I've come to the realization that while I know all the ins and outs of Photoshop and Illustrator, I haven't really used them to their full capacity. So, over the past couple weeks I've been trying to work on making more complicated photomantages.
It is definitely easier said than done. But all the better work will definitely come up here.
The art for this week:
I took this photo at the Red White and Boom 4th of July celebration in Columbus, Ohio. It didn't turn out quite the way I'd hoped, but I still like it.
